| Established over 100 years
ago, GXBC prides itself on being a friendly
club. Our members range in age from ten to eighty-five, and the
standard
from international level to "happy to get it on the right green".
We have an excellent 6-lane green, and about 130 full members and 25 social members. Our social events (Hog Roast, Race Night etc) are well attended. Our bar is open on weekday evenings and
whenever there is a match - and we have a full program of matches. Experienced bowlers are encouraged to play with us at any time. We have roll-ups three times each week - Monday, Thursday and Friday afternoons. We welcome new bowlers. We provide free training - see the "info for new Bowlers" tab for details. Although we are primarily a Lawn Bowling
club,
we also run a small Short Mat section through the winter. If you would like to know more about the
